Glenn Colquhoun grew up 'looking over the fence' in the cultural melting pot of South Auckland. After working in several jobs he shifted to a remote part of the Bay of Islands where he stood 'on the other side of the fence' and learnt things Maori. These poems are about belonging, discovering a place to stand, finding what it means to be Pakeha and what it means to be human.
